Intakes in Canada


In contrast to Indian universities, which only offer one intake, Canadian colleges and universities provide three intakes , however some might have four intakes. Intakes may also be referred to as a semester in various universities. There are three intake options in Canada.


Fall: The Fall intake begins in the month of September and is a popular choice for Indian students.


Winter: It generally begins in January and goes up till february.


Summer: Available for selected universities and programmes, the Summer intake often begins in April or May.

An opportunity alled co-operative education, or co-op education, allows you to work in a sector linked to your subject of study. It allows you to continue your study while gaining practical, program-related employment experience.

Additionally, it assists you in determining the type of job you might want, aids in financing your education, and improves your chances of finding a good job after graduation (with a higher salary).

Most co-op programmes are arranged in an alternating manner, i.e., one semester or term of schooling is alternated with one semester or term of work.


English language assessments for admission to Canadian universities


A student must pass an English language competency test in order to study in Canada because it is an English-speaking nation. IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is the most popular option among the language tests that are available to students . This test is authorised in 140 nations and is acknowledged by 11,000 organisations globally.


You must obtain a minimum score of 5.5 in each band and 6.0 overall to be qualified to submit an application for a student visa to Canada. Although each college may have a different IELTS requirement


Canadian student visa
